I've found for sale a PSP 2000 which should be fully hackable (Daxter edition) but it has firmware 5.50 on it so I understand it needs a Pandora battery to be downgraded so I've looked for one and found this: http://www.pspmod.com/shop/product_info.ph.../products_id/38
However, there it says that "PSP Slim 2000 Firmware versions up to 3.95" are supported. Does that mean that Pandora won't work on this PSP?
And is there a better USA site where I can buy a Pandora?

hey,
If you really wanna put a custom firmware on it, google and download the MagicMemoryStick Maker (or something like that) and use that in conjunction with the pandora's battery in order to hack it. you could downgrade, but it's more hassle than it's worth and plus, this gets the job done faster and easier

[EDIT] actually, there's already a guide up for it. http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=206173 here's the link to it

The 2000s with the old non-Ta088v3 motherboards were probably sold with 3.95 and under, though they can always be upgraded. The new 2000s with the v3 motherboards may have been sold with firmwares after 3.95.

If it's not a v3 motherboard, pandora hacking is always possible.

Also, yay, you linked to my guide

If it could do with any changes let me know.

Thanks. I do hope it's not a v3 motherboard. Everywhere I read people say that all Daxter PSPs are fully hackable, so that's why I'm going for one of these.
