Out of all the PAL GC games I've tried to play on my Wii, none of them have worked. Though, I wouldn't doubt there's some sort of region patcher floating around out there that's meant just for this. I didn't bother looking.

does anyone know anything about that? if there is a patcher? (the only reason I want to knwo is because there are a few games I have been looking for, but I can only find them in pal (like the zelda collectors disk and the one with OOT and master quest.)

I remember downloading wind waker a long time ago, but when I would try it it would show a green screen, and I would still hear the sounds of the title screen.

Burn them as a gcos disc with MultiGame ISO Creator v3.2.4F+
    It adds more compatibility

I tried GCOS with SSBM Pal (i had a full save with it) but didn't work with my NTSC Wii either. It just shows a green screen.

I used a dvd gcos from the wiinja chip on my wiikey modded ntsc machine.
You insert the disc, then the game and then it asks you which output you would like it to use, choose any ntsc output and it will work. Without you having to rip the games or anything like that.

PAL Gamecube games will only work on an ntsc (USA or JPN) if
the original game supported pal 60 hertz or 480p

the ntsc wii (usa/jpn) does NOT have a gamecube mode that
supports 50 hertz - it will support pal 60 games as it can convert
the video from pal to ntsc but if you try a pal 50hz only game
the wii (ntsc version only) CANNOT output a 50hz NTSC signal

therefore you will get a black/green/no video screen - you may get
sound from some games but again the only games that work are
    pal60 and 480p titles.

Incredibly the pal wii has no such problems and can play ALL gamecube
    games - pal/ntsc/50hz/60hz or 480p titles.

google Gamecube PAL 60 hertz and you should get a list of titles...

Funnily enough, that means you'll have no trouble running the PAL OOT/Master Quest bonus disc on the NTSC Wii. I've got it, and there's a big fat warning saying it's a 60Hz-only disc.

maybe its an issue with the emulator used for this disc
    or
try and use gcos to load and boot the game
    - i've heard that it does work...

the rule still stands that ALL 50Hz only pal
games will NEVER work unmodified on a NTSC wii

every pal game that supports 60 hz has always
worked for me - no issues whatsoever...

i have heard of a gamecube region patcher that may
allow pal50 games to work on ntsc wii...

    best of luck tho!
