Hello, I am trying to run Another Code R (a PAL game) on an NTSC Wii and 4:3 480i CRT (TX-R2735) with HD Retrovision component cables, USBLoaderGX version 3.0 r1281 and the game both on an SD card but I am running into some display issues as shown in this GIF (skip 00:30 to 1:40, nothing to see there).

(Individual) Game Load settings:
  • Video Mode: Force NTSC
  • Dol video patch: use global (global is ON), switching to 'All' did not work either
  • 480p pixel fix patch: OFF
  • All other video settings below are set to Use Global (SNEEK and VIDTV set to ON did not work either)
Loader Settings/Global:
  • Video Mode is Disc Default
  • Dol and pixel fix patch are ON
  • Sneek/VIDTV are OFF
  • Deflicker and video width are Auto
  • Aspect ratio is System default (I have it set to 4:3)
As shown in the videos, it seems like the top half is displayed, then the bottom half, then the bottom half fades out/changes followed by the top half. It gets even stranger with the cutscene from 2:02 til the end of the GIF, where comparing with this playthrough at 3:07, it looks like the top half is just doubled entirely and the bottom half is missing.
According to this old forum post, this game might use some special graphical techniques which led to a similar-sounding problem of split images on Dolphin, and it seems like this game still has issues running on Dolphin. Do I need a special patch for this game or something? Thanks!

I have (kinda) fixed the issue! User SuperrSonic commented under my Reddit post (also linked here) to reset in-game by just pressing the home button and then the right Reset Button, which should clear any patches messing with the game’s AA processes, and it worked! The game no longer displays in halves, and while it’s more of a band-aid as I still don’t know how to properly fix it, I can now actually play the game!
