P_P Help me with the Preamble!

:'( Well, the only bad grade I got this year is a D... Better than last year's 2.5 average I guess.

and it's in Social Studies, my most hated subject.

I just bombed every test and missed this one assignment to get this grade.. I could actually get back to a C if I finish this.

Could someone help me? I'm not very good at talking with little kids.

I need to translate the Preamble of the US Constitution so that a little kid would understand it.

The Preamble is:

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America"

I'll be really grateful if someone helped me on this!

As citizens of the US, we write this Constitution in order to to make our country a better place, keep it fair, peaceful, and safe, make sure that everyone is healthy and fortunate (not poor) and that freedom is kept for us and our children.

You may need to modify this ("citizens," "fortunate" might be too hard for little kids to understand depending on how strict your teacher is) but you get the general idea. I just made this up so you won't get pinched if you copy word-for-word.
