i have naturally sweaty hands too, and i weigh only like 64kg , am 175cm tall.

i have no idea why this happens, it is very annoying.

happens more when the weather is slightly hot.
during winters its much better , but i find myself having sweaty hands especially in games with too much action e.g BloodBorne/SSB4.

on my 3ds i also tend to get sweaty hands from playing RPG's.. which dont require buttom smashing at all, and they get sweaty after only 30 minutes.
its hassly.

if you put a Matte sticker on your 3ds/Wii u Gamepad, you wont have to wipe the smudges from the sweat .

i love Matter skin stickers, i bought mine off Decalgirl.
i have them on most of my devices.

My sister has the same issue.
Nothing can really stop it, other than taking frequent breaks from using hands, or using things that require less adrenaline, thinking, etc...

Lucky for me I don't have this problem. The only bad thing about that is I can't necessarily "cool off" with sweat on my hands if doing something. An example being consistently running, or being exposed to a lot of heat.

I have met some people with a similar condition, in one instance it was even hereditary it seems, did not help that one had rock climbing as a hobby either.

Anyway there was a surgical procedure, though I was not really paying attention (it involved fiddling with a nerve or something).

I knew someone whose young son had chronic underarm sweating (considerably more than normal pre-pubescent perspiration). He had botox injections under his arms to paralyse or shrink the sweat glands. It wasn't permanent but it did work. I wonder whether this could also work for hands?

My boyfriend has hyperhidrosis which affects his hands mostly. He uses a product called Driclor, though overuse can cause serious drying of the skin and cracking. Another good alternative is to hook up a 12 volt battery to 2 stainless steel pans and fill them with water then submedge your hands for 15 minutes everyday. Basically you're making an iontophoresis machine. Loads of people have great success with it and it's quite inexpensive. Anyways I know it sucks, my boyfriend gets really down about it sometimes. And yes botox can help and does work on the hands, it's just expensive to do it every 6 months.

Have tiny fans pointed at your hands at all times to dry them off :tpi:

Soak your hands in boiled oak bark. Or green/black tea. The tannins and alkali will literally tan your skin into a leather, but at least the leather won't sweat.

The good news: There's a surgery to correct that problem
The bad news: It requires stopping your heart and going through your lungs to reach the sweat gland's source near your spine.

Or you can get targeted botox treatment. It's not permanent, but it doesn't require turning you into a kebab so there's that. :ha:

This may sound weird, but while my hands are unusually sweaty all the time, they're the most sweaty when I'm cold, or just during winter.

The Greek dub of Toy Story's You've got a friend in me is still a classic even among boomers who've never watched the movie, mostly because it was sung by a famous beloved Greek singer

Also his choice was quite interesting since his songs are anything but family-friendly
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
If anything, some of his songs were so controversial that he got troubles with the law regarding "blasphemy laws" in Greece.
