Okay...not to bash the game (or franchise), but why does it need mentioning that there is a demo out of a sequel of a random indie-game?

I've heard of outlast. The combination of a first person view, roguelike and horror seems like a good one, but it's still an indie game. I have the first in a humble bundle (perhaps even in two), but never got around to installing it (I ain't the greatest horror fan). Why should horror fans download this demo "right NAOW"(tm) ?
