Guide:

This guide begins assuming you are already on 9.2. If not, follow Plailect's guide.

• Step 1. Take your SD card out of your 3DS and put it in your computer
  
  
• Step 2. Download the a9lh folder here and place the contents on the root of your SD card. This contains the payloads and firms necessary for installing A9LH.
  
  
• Step 3. Download the latest release of safea9lhinstaller and place the contents of the 7zip file on the root of your SD card
  
  
• Step 4. Turn on your 3DS with the SD card reinserted and boot homebrew launcher on your 9.2 sysNAND
  
  
• Step 5. Open safea9lhinstaller
  
  
• Step 6. Press select and you'll have arm9loaderhax!

It works on 9.0, aswell as 9.1 and 9.2.
Whenever any tutorial says 9.2, it works for 9.1 and 9.0
The only time you really wanna be specific, is for payloads for the homebrew launcher.

Hi,

I downloaded the OP linked files and installed safeinstaller 'successfully' but for a problem.

It seems the SafeA9LHInstallerv2.5 zip file uses an initialising arm9loaderhax.bin which needs to be overwritten, once installed, with the recommended one from Luma. Otherwise you will keep rebooting into the SafeA9LHInstaller screen.

Best to stick with the 'official Plailect guide'.

Refer Plailects Guide Part 3 - Step 6 vs step 12.

6 . Copy the contents of the SafeA9LHInstaller zip to the root of your SD card

12. Copy arm9loaderhax.bin from the Luma3DS zip to the root of your SD card, overwrite existing files

I'd say that any try to install A9LH has more or less a chance of bricking.
And as this guide is outdated, as stated in the original reddit post, it should be safe to say that this way probably isn't the safest way to install it.

Not if everything is properly checked and accounted for. Or are you saying that Nintendo's NAND writing code has also chances of bricking?
