Original Xbox Not Seeing Games On F: Partition

Hey

I Finally modded an Original Xbox, 1st soft mod then Tsop mod. That all went well then I swapped in a 500gig hard drive. I followed a couple videos and the drive was recognized and formatted no problem. I then used FatXplorer and copied a coupe of test games (in folder format) to the F:/games folder. The problem is that the games never show under the games tab in the Dashboard. When I see some tutorials they only have E: for games etc. When I browse the F: drive there are no folders so I created the games folder. E: is like 4.5gig and has folders though. Any ideas on what I'm missing?

You might need to set a scan path to the F drive where your games are located somewhere in the settings.
It's been years since I done anything OG Xbox tho.

Oh I thought they would just show up. I guess I will find out how to scan

From all the videos I have watched and other reading they just show up once transferred and console is rebooted.

Switch to UnleashX otherwise, works fine on mine.

I am a PRO. we need more info. What dash? and is the games default.xbe right behind its folder name?

The games are in folder format and do contain .xbe files in each folder for each game in the root of each folder

OK thats sounds right. most software require you to add " F:\GAMES\ " to its settings else it will just check E:

So if I put a game lets say Call of Duty in F:\games it should automatically find the game and display under the games menu is the dashboard? So f:\games\call of Duty (folder)

No you will need to add 'F:\GAMES' in the settings or the dash will not look in that spot.

Hey I reformatted the drive using FatXplorer and it worked. I used a different formatting option installed tge drive and copied 2 games. One to the E: drive and one to the F: drive. They both displayed and launched. I had to reinstall a Dashboard after the formatting but it worked so I happy about that. I'm going to switch to a 1tb and put all my games on that drive and of course some classic emulators and games. Now to find a nicer dash.

One more question though. I watched Mr Mario's how to for the softmod before doing Tsop mod. He was able to set the video to 720P. I canot get that settingto enable. Any ideas?
