Depending on which games are freezing, it could be that certain IOS's need to be updated/installed for the games to run. If you haven't updated your wii in a long time then I would consider doing that first. Also, posting up a syscheck will let us know for sure if your wii is outdated.

Wow, all of your IOS's are maxed out on their version number. You must have installed darkcorp or something else at some point in time.

Run modmii, tell it that your wii is a virgin. If it asks if you want to updated your IOS's, say yes. Do everything that it says and then afterwards your games should run fine.

Maybe ur DVD drive is just plain knackered?

googled and found this error list:
http://www.wiihacks....ution-here.html

Probably useless but hey...

1048, 1053 & 1101:
DVD Read Error:Bad burn/media or incorrect cIOS.Update or Use Neogamma R9.If you are already using Verbatim DVD-R burned at 4x try at 2x.Also this error will persist on newer wiis, meaning that they have the new D3-2 Drive chip which cannot read backups at all.Only option for them is USB loading.

Update Neogamma to R9 beta 56 at very least, and make sure you have d2x v7 final too, although this shouldn't affect originals? unless I have missread your posts...
