Yep, coming to the 3DS eShop on May 30th is the two titles (and popular ones might I add) Oracle of Ages and Oracle of seasons.

Here's the pic, taken with the phone,

I've had them on lameboy but that kind of sucked, (and the original cart of Ages but I can't play it) but it feels better having legit versions from the Home 3DS menu I guess. Definitely picking both of these up.

I got really bored of Seasons. I played a bit of Ages and preferred it so much more. I wonder if it will have that little function like before to get the true ending.

Yeah they confirme that. Although via password only which is a shame since the 3DS could easily simply read both savefiles and connect the games. But still, a must buy for me. And personally I prefer Seasons^^

so, is there any improvement on the game or is it just the 1:1 GBC version?
like, any more colors? slightly improved graphics? anything?

Gameyob does a really good job with these but I might pick them up on the eShop just to see how the GBC emulation is and for the convenience of having it stored on my 3DS.

Since it will be released as a Virtual Console title, it will most likely be a 1:1 GBC version. Only 3D Classics get some enhancements like that

It would be way better if they had somehow implemented the transfer directly between the two saves. As is, you have to copy and paste giant codes to transfer all your stuff between games. In the original, you could avoid the code crap using a link cable, but it sounds like there isn't any alternative to codes on the 3DS. On a side note, I really hope we get the Golden Sun games next (or even better, a 3D remake of the first two games).

These games have actually a chronological order. Play Seasons first, and then Ages. Back in the day I played first Ages and then Seasons and I noticed something was off.

More info: Seasons represents the goddess Din, who formed the land. Ages represents Nayru, who ??? profit! the land and the third game, that was supposed to represent Farore got canceled.

Edit: I prefer Seasons because Din is more sexy than Nayru :tpi:

was announced in the last nintendo direct that these where out on the 30th

cant wait, hope everyone has spare paper and pencil when playing to write down codes to transfer your rings
Could use the note taking function on the 3DS itself. :P

Can't wait for this game! Never played it when it was out. Are there any other reasons for playing Seasons first other than the one listed above?

Are they of similar difficulty?

well you need to play both at the same time really, then use the password at the end on the other

then do the Heros playthrough on both at the same time, trade passwords again

AND THEN the FINAL! playthrough to unlock everything else

you basically use all 3 save slots completing these games

I never really played those two, considering they were simply games made out of the same material as Awakening, expected to ride on the coattails of the great Koholint Island adventure.
