Hacking Only one wiimote works while playing backups

I'm on a 4.0U softmodded wii, cIOS38rev14, hermes cios 202,222,223 rev 4. Whenever I try and play backups on either USB loader GX or through neogamma on disc only the first wiimote will sign in and none of the others will. When browsing the system menu or playing original copies, however it works just fine. A bit puzzled on this one, help would be appreciated
