    Hi,

This might be a weird question but let me ask:

I just had a second hand, PS3 slim bought from the web and there is a E3 ODE installed on that system though I don't want to play ISOs or put any homebrew. If i update it to the official firmware 4.81 and link it with my PSN account, do I have any risk of ban by Sony? knowing that I will play only official games both digital and with BD.

I prefer to ask since I don't want to risk to get my account banned knowing all the stuff I bought online for PS4/Vita and even PS3.

No ban, because your ode will not work on 4.81.

*unless there s was an update recently*

Ok I have checked around and it seems there is not update for this E3 ODE.
I was just worry that they can somehow detect that this PS3 has been modified and banned for this purpose.

no ban, just leave it in pass-through mode and use your legit disc. Or have someone food at soldering remove the ode, since it's useless once updated.
