Previously released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, RPG title One Piece Odyssey makes its way to the Nintendo Switch today. For the occasion, a new trailer was aired:

A sudden tempest throws Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew off course on the Grand Line! Washed ashore on a mysterious island, Waford, the crew finds themselves scattered. Luffy sets out on a thrilling adventure of navigating Waford to find his friends and escape from the mysterious island. Dangerous new enemies, terrifying forces of nature, and journey to the “World of Memory” of the Straw Hat Crew awaits! Experience the pirate world like never before with the new Deluxe Edition of the game comprising Additional Scenario “Reunion of Memories” that will be accessible after the game.

The game lets players take control of each Straw Hat Crew member by using their unique skills for exploration or turn-based style combat with unique ONE PIECE twists such as the Scramble Area Battle and Dramatic Scene systems. With the Scramble Area Battle system, players can move through multiple battle areas with individual characters to pick their best strategy to exploit enemy weaknesses. The Dramatic Scene system pits players in battles reminiscent of memorable ONE PIECE moments, such as when members of the Straw Hat crew encounter trouble and need rescue, letting them earn increased experience for completing these tasks.

One Piece Odyssey is available now on Nintendo Switch with the Deluxe Edition, which includes the Reunion of Memories additional scenario, extra character outfits and the Nintendo Switch exclusive City of Water outfits.

Well, it is already doing amazing things, beyond everything imho. It helped me in numerous tasks, and it totally blows me away. Several problems, I never found a solution for via google and boards, It answered within seconds. It may not be perfect, but it evolves really quickly.. :)
An example:

Q :why are people in online boards often replying unpolitely?

A: People often reply unpolitely on online boards for several reasons:

1. **Anonymity**: The anonymity provided by the internet often emboldens people to say things they wouldn't say in face-to-face interactions. The lack of immediate, personal consequences can lead to more aggressive or rude behavior.

2. **Lack of Social Cues**: Online communication lacks non-verbal cues such as tone of voice, facial expressions, and body language, making it easier to misinterpret messages and respond harshly. The absence of these cues can also make it easier for people to dehumanize others.

3. **Echo Chambers**: Many online boards create environments where people with similar views reinforce each other's opinions. This can lead to groupthink and a reduction in tolerance for differing viewpoints, often resulting in unpolite responses to dissenting opinions.

4. **Trolling and Seeking Attention**: Some individuals derive satisfaction from provoking others or causing disruption. These "trolls" often post inflammatory or off-topic messages to elicit strong reactions.

5. **Stress and Frustration**: People often turn to online boards to vent their frustrations or stress, leading to short-tempered or unpolite replies. The relative anonymity and distance can make it easier to project personal issues onto others.

6. **Perceived Injustice**: When people feel their views are under attack or marginalized, they may respond defensively and unpolitely. The feeling of being wronged or misunderstood can lead to aggressive behavior.

7. **Cultural Norms**: Different online communities develop their own norms and cultures. In some forums, unpolite or harsh communication might be more accepted or even expected as part of the community's culture.

8. **Lack of Accountability**: Without direct repercussions for rude behavior, some people feel free to express themselves in ways they wouldn't in real life. The perceived distance from real-world consequences can lower the threshold for politeness.

These factors combined can create an environment where unpolite replies are more common. Addressing these issues often requires a mix of community moderation, clear guidelines, and fostering a culture of respect and empathy.

Oh yeah and One Piece looks alright. It seems over the last decade licensed games got better, than they used to be. :)
Personally I really enjoyed this one when it released. It is fairly easy, but for fans of the IP, it does the trick.

Honesty when even a Xbox series S runs games better that the Switch is better to avoid this multiconsole releases on the Switch. Heck even Nintendo doesn't know how to make new games run well on the Switch anymore, look at the Princess Peach game.

I like the Switch but these games just don't run well on it.

I like this on the PS4. I'll give it a try. But console is correct, that's alot of memory storage. Maybe there's an easter egg where you can play DOOM somewhere in the game?

As someone who played it on the PS5, I strongly recommend it.

If you enjoy One Piece and Dragon Quest this game is a love letter. Combat is similar to Persona with the weakness exploitation giving combos.

Another great thing going for the game is that the plot, characters and monsters were all made by Oda himself. I haven't finished the game, but from what I played, I really enjoyed it.

i mean, the plot can be from oda, and the characters at well, but this must be like the 6th one piece game that is like "something or someone uses a power to recreate past events / past adversaries, now go relive it again but just a little off".

while i get that the grand line lore doesnt really allow for backtracking in the classic sense, i'd still rather just play the events as i already read them

More of a curiosity but does this run at 60fps on the switch? I have it on steam but I'm considering double dipping since my wife and I are both one piece fans and we both have a switch

I don't see much of a point in emulating a game that has a native PC version unless the PC version is horribly unoptimized.
One Piece Odyssey on PC run solid and there is no Denuvo.

Yeah, that render Switch emulator useless for this game.

Which One Piece games exactly use that trope? Can't remember any recent ones tbf.

There were a lot of games that have the story starting from scratch with some differences here and there, but they weren't because of any powers that I recall.

It's turn based, shouldn't make much of a difference.
