So some where in my house, or car, or possibly friends house sits my trusty DSL I dont think im gonna find it any time soon. So I might as well upgrade and get a DSi . I am Not familyer with the new dsi cards. I have had a clone R4 and M3 real sakura tho.
So please help me decided what will work best for me.

    Things i value most:
    Suport/Updates
    Compatibilty/Stabilty
    Speed

Things i don't know much about:
with these new carts i'm seeing things about snes/gba emulation? i remeber the standard snes emulator rom for m3/r4 but i think this is differnt. I would value those features quite a bit too if they run good and dont sacrifice the basics.

Things that are nice to have but I dont need:
-Its nice to have a simple interface, but i can easly take on very complicated interfaces if it gains me more options/features worth the effort.
-cosmetic gui's look nice but old and ulgy works too.

Price range $20-$60 (will go higher if there is a night and day differnce)
Also taking sugestions as to where to buy from.

Looking forward to your input. Ty

I have two suggestions for your needs.

First is the Acekard 2i, it's $15, and it plays most games just fine using AKAIO firmware.
It's fast, compatible, reliable. The only minor issue the build quality isn't great so there are occasional, but resolvable contact issues.

Second is the DStwo, it's pricier at $35 but has an integrated CPU, which can do GBA emulation, and very soon SNES emulation too. It's the only flashcart that can offer the best emulation.
It has a wealth of real-time functions such as guides, cheats and saves, and has pretty good compatibility right now. The updates are also pretty frequent right now.

Both would be a good choice. I would probably say that AKAIO might be a bit more compatible, since the DStwo can't seem to play Soul Silver without crashing right now.

Get a Supercard DSTWO if you want everything you mentioned, AND SNES and GBA emulation, AVI playback, etc.

If you only really want everything you mentioned, get a DSONEi.

I would just get a DSTWO. It's like $35 but worth it. I've heard the GBA emulations was okay, and it has a lot of potential.

    @Edwii: Yup.

    Yes, it is.
BUT right now it doesn´t have SNES Emulation and AVI Playback. But SNES is in a realy promising betastate now and due to be released soon. Haven´t heard much about the AVI playback in some time, but hopefully it´s still in work and gets more advertising after SNES is released.

Pretty much the same as everyone else.
If you have a low budget, AceKard 2i.
    If not, Supercard DSTWO.

    that place
The SNES emulator for the SuperCard DSTWO will only work on the DSTWO. If you want to continue using the crappy SNES emulators that are already available for other carts, go ahead. I'm just saying that if you want to get a better SNES emulator, you should get a DSTWO and wait for their SNES emulator to be released.

I would go for the DSTWO because of the upcomming Snes emulator and a already working GBA emulator.
And the question about were to buy it i think Shoptemp is the best one with free shipping.

Thanks for all your help, DSTWO sounds like the best option then, GBA is far more valuble to me in the long run anyways. i love snes, but i have played it to death as of late, I never owned a gba when i still had my GB Color(good ol days) so i have a hole generation of games i would like to catch up on since i never had the gba flash chart for my dslite

ty for all your input. i wish there was a dstwo on the vancouver craigslist... all they have are r4i and acecard2 crap (most of them are clones too)

I live close to the USA border so shipping to/through Canada/USA is flexible. Who can ship me a DSTWO fastest to Vancouver or Seattle (the two closest major citys to my town)

Hmmm... add in another $0.75 and you get a 4GB Micro SD card. That's pretty slick! O_O

M3I ZERO! Or whatever. I use an AK2i. My SCDS2 sits in a drawer. If I want GBA games, I will play them on my EZFlash IV. If I want DS games, I use the AK2i. SNES emulation is a nice thought, but with CPU, and ram only being able to pull off non-special chip games is kinda sad.
