I don’t trust them that much: they can be old stock, or have really bad components (it’s not that common with batteries straight from China). I remember buying a battery replacement for my old DS back in 2009 and the “brand new” battery would last 45 minutes.
Compare that with just going to the store, grab a couple of Duracell and bam. Can even buy rechargeable ones too.
I thought the GBA took AA batteries but looks like it also takes the D

I didn't know they made an MSU cart for the Genesis.... I knew about the SNES one and the library for that is rather large but the Genesis one has very few games+1

An FPGA could probably replicate the chip's functionality without buying donor parts.+1
