I know, I was watching the news with Mike, when that picture he came up, he was like, "That guy looks familiar" so he got on his laptop and pulled up a picture of Calypso, then the other pictures and I was like "OMG! I must show this to people!"

First things first though... before that can be done we need to make pamphlets on telling people the right way to spell "Pamphlet"...

Races that are different from what you grow up seeing usually tend to look alike until you grow accustomed to seeing them.

When you first see any human, you immediately figure out whether you've seen them before or not. If you haven't seen them before, your mind figures out what makes this person different. When you're accustomed to a race, you normally use things such as how big their cheeks, chin, etc. are compared to people you know. You then attach that to your memory. When you aren't accustomed to a race, and they don't have any predominate features, like extreme weight or height, then your mind usually just attaches the race to your memory of them.

Since you didn't associate a smaller cheek to that person, you could mistake another person with bigger cheeks and the same race as just the race instead of the cheek size since your mind grasps to what contrasts most about the person from what your familiar with. That causes your mind to think a lot of people of a race you aren't used to seeing look alike despite them actually being very different.

*sees that I made another tl;dr post* [IMG]

tl;dr version: "Same like white people do its just that white people dont notice it as much among eachother same with africans and asians among eachother" [IMG]
