i had that problem too on my R4 SDHC, i found out that the reason for my r4 struck on loading is because i'm missing the _DS_MENU.INI file, i'm not sure if that apply to everyone else tho.

Well there is no way to set YSMenu as default firmware @ a R4 Clone, it will be stuck at Loading.... But you may run it as a homebrew fine (or replace moonshell if you want).

confirmed working 100% for pokémon heart gold, no freezing and no save problem, i'm using the original R4.

I do recommend all R4 users (original ones, not clones) to move from it's old firmware (1.18 or any other, even 1.23 like i was using) to this YSmenu, it's a lot faster to boot the games and have way better compatibility with the games, without the need of game fixes/patches.

for those with r4's and dstt using ysmenu and still doesn't work reformat your card(backup your saves and roms,except mlbis save)using panasonic formatter,then follow this guide http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=182050 (generally this should work,if it doesn't,then your stumped)then simply copy back your games and saves

Dude, it's been working on the Acekard 2 and 2i almost from the beginning. AK2 / 2i and Cyclo were the only ones it was working with. It was originally working with the patched ROM and AKAIO 1.4.1. The recently released AKAIO 1.5 allows use of the clean ROM. Either way, it's working on Acekard 2 and 2i.

ITS NOT recognizing YSenu. I DON'T CARE WHAT I put in it. It KEEPS telling me that it can not find the file when I load R4.bat. WHAT IS GOING ON? I'm getting SO frustrated!
