Oldest memory of the internet?

Joining ZFGC (Zelda Fan Game Central) when I was like 11 after finding it through Daniel Barras' OoT2D vaporware and being an annoying prick to everyone on the IRC and getting banned multiple times because well, I was 11.
Playing Runescape at school because it was one of the only "proper" games you could run on the school PCs and everyone was doing it.
Discovering MapleStory through a thread on the official Nintendo forum and making many friends there.
Chatting with said friends on MSN Messenger.
Eventually branching into other MMORPGs together with some of those friends.
Good times.

Yes! I remember old AIM when I was chat a lot of friends and family long ago on Windows ME and on Windows XP for many years until around 2007 - 2008 then stopped. I pray for AIM come back in near future!

Want to know why? A lot of people quit AIM to join social websites like Facebook, IG, X (Twitter). Then AI on social websites are ruining our experience and life! AI are full of s**t that are harm us and people around the world.

I don't know how social websites get improve over time then get worse over time due to AI problems to control us and people get very mad easily!

I don't really remember the year and really all my memories are probably scattered throughout different years but the most classic memories I have of early internet are browsing sites like Computer Pranks, and Belch.com. Just those early internet clipart and weird sites. As well as browsing newgroud.com watching videos and playing games.

But before that I remember logging on to AOL via dialup every day. Seeing that main screen and before hand, I'd call my friends to see if they wanted to chat on AIM, because I couldn't call and be online at the same time. And then I'd chat for hours with them on AIM after school, which at the time was integrated into the AOL homepage instead of a standard application.
