Hacking Older Homebrew Channel

[retrospect]

I saw a video somewhere of the Homebrew Channel but with a different interface to the Wii Dash' look-alike. It was four elongated buttons in a single column each branded as their function. There was an N64 emulator shown in the clip, not that I'm expecting that anytime soon. I prefer this interface, and wondered whether it was released and if it is in any way lacking when compared to the current release.

That's the new, unreleased Homebrew Channel. And no, it is not in any way "lacking". In fact, it should be the most feature-rich launcher ever.
The "Wii Dash' look-alike" you referred to is the Wii Homebrew Launcher.
