What is your Goal after creating an Emunand?
Will you use it with Atmosphere or SX.
There's no "easy" Way to use them both.
You can create a "File Based" Emunand in SX OS and migrate it in Hekate to Atmosphere.
Each Time you want to switch between CFW's you have to migrate it back and forth...

What i'd recommend:

Only use SX OS. (Just if you really need an Emunand)

or

Don't use Emunand at all... (since you never mentioned, that you need a Clean SYS Nand for Online Play)
(In this Case you can easily switch between SX OS & Atmosphere)

In both Cases do what Canna said:

Inject the latest Hekate.bin with TegraRCMGui or SX OS and Backup the following Files:

Boot 0/1
Rawnand.bin
Biskeys

To do so:

01. Download TegraRCMGui, Hekate & Biskeydump
02. Extract all the Files
03. Move the biskeydump.bin File to your fresh extracted \bootloader\payloads Folder
04. Format your micro SD to exFat
05. Copy the bootloader Folder to the Root of your micro SD
06. Inject Hekate.bin with TegraRCMGui
06. Inject Hekate.bin with SX OS
(Copy Hekate.bin to the Root of your Micro SD. Insert your SX Dongle, when you see the SX OS Boot Screen HOLD the VOL+ Button.
The SX OS Boot Menu will appear, choose Options and select Payloads and Press on Hekate.bin)
07. Tools
08. Backup eMMC
09. eMMC BOOT0 & BOOT1 (Wait for Finished & Verified)
10. x Close
11. Backup eMMC RAW GPP (Wait for Finished & Verified) (This will take about ~1h)
12. Home
13. Payloads
14. biskeydump.bin
15. A Screen with a Smiley and a QR Code will appear: Press the Vol- to Backup your Biskeys
16. Press Power to turn off your Console

Eject your micro SD and insert it into your PC, copy your Backups to your PC and keep them SAFE!!
Congratulation you have successfully backed up All your Important Files!

Micro SD Setup:
Download: Gui Format and format your Micro SD to FAT32.

SX OS Emunand Setup:
Check if you already have a license.dat File.
If not follow this Guide
If yes follow this Guide

Dual Boot SX OS & Atmosphere (without Emunand):
Download the latest Atmosphere Build + fusee-primary.bin and its Sigpatches.
Download the latest SX OS (boot.dat)
01. Extract all the Files
02. Copy the Contents from Atmosphere (Atmosphere / Sept / switch Folder & hbmenu.nro) to the Root of your FAT32 formatted micro SD
03. Copy the Sigpatches (exefs_patches & kip_patches Folder) to your \Atmosphere\ Folder
04. Copy the fusee-primary.bin to the Root of your micro SD (If you like you can rename it to Atmosphere.bin)
05. Copy your SX OS boot.dat & license.dat to the Root of your micro SD

To switch between both CFW's, shut down your Console.

Boot Atmosphere:
Insert your SX Dongle, when you see the SX OS Boot Screen HOLD the VOL+ Button.
The SX OS Boot Menu will appear, choose Options and select Payloads and Press on fusee-primary.bin / Atmosphere.bin

Boot SX OS
Simply insert your SX Dongle.

Update your Firmware:
After you managed to successfully boot into SX OS or Atmosphere, its Time to Update your Firmware. (I always recommend updating via Atmosphere)

Download ChoiDuJourNX.nro and copy it into your Switch Folder

01. Google for: Switch Firmware Files
02. Download the latest Firmware (10.0.4)
03. Extract the Zip File to the Root of your micro SD
04. Go to the Homebrew Menu (SX OS Tap the Album Icon) (Atmosphere Hold R & Tap the Album Icon)
05. Launch ChoiDuJourNX
06. Choose your Firmware Folder and follow the Onscreen Instructions
07. Choose exFat when prompted (even if you actually don't need it)
08. Shutdown your Console when prompted
09. Insert your Dongle and choose either SX OS or Atmosphere

Haven't done anything to post a progress today, to bizzy with other stuff.
But got a replay on a youtube channel, the new SX 3.0.2 Os is out (beta) . tried that real quick.

Same problems , as of now i'm 100% SURE it's the license file.
Have you tried to create the license again on the TX website?

It’s a real shame people feel so invested in SXOS because they paid for it. It seems much trickier (and more unsupported) than Atmos but I suppose people must have their reasons to use it??

If you’re not an expert, you will find more user guides for Atmosphere - once you get that going maybe you won’t miss SX...

Yes multiple times
With multiple sd cards

Yes indeed it's a scandal.
I've read enough, during those two years I waited to hack my switch, about the bad support of the SX. Now I'm just another victim I suppose.

Have you tried booting the (latest SX) payload from TegraRcmGUI on a PC, instead of using the dongle?

Hmmm , seems like I wasn't so smart to try it that way ... gonna do it now

thanks for the tip

update *
just tried it... BLue screen
I stick with the idea that a "faulty" license file must be the problem

Sorry I can’t advise with regards to SX-OS, but tbh if I had this much trouble I would just go with Atmosphere.

Hopefully they get back to you with some helpful advice on the SX forums!

Have you tried removing the license completely?
both the license request and license .dat

Then boot to the sxos boot menu
(shut down the switch boot by pressing vol+ and push power but keep holding the vol+)

then it says would you like to create a license request file say yes then upload your file from your sd card to here.
https://sx.xecuter.com/sxos-license.html

There is a manual here Page 8 is the making of the license file.
https://sx.xecuter.com/download/manuals/sxos/[EN]_SXOS_v1.3.pdf

Hope this helps.

That's what I've been doing like 20 times now.

I started a topic on the TX forum... (instead of hijacking another one :P)

Only one reply thus far, that he suggests I would have to update my OFW.
Skeptic about that last one

Im pretty sure you dont need to update the switch at all since SXOS does actually work on these Old FWs i did mine with the pegascape fake news + hekate combo for both atmos and sxos usage and had no problems at all with either of the 2 on emunand while me switch retaining its factory FW untouched

i used this guide https://switch.homebrew.guide/

For goodness sake EVERYONE.

Hey old timer..

Backup your switch first. Please.
If you broke it we can fix it with a good backup.
Without one, you have a giant paperweight.

You need a backup of your
Boot0
Boot1
rawnand
biskeys.

https://gbatemp.net/threads/backup-...-your-biskeys-tseckeys-keys-txt-guide.513386/
Old Guide I have not updated, but will work for your backing up needs.

I've got all backed up, all keys, everything set...

Still not sure what to do know, so I reply here first.
How do I access the other partition that has the sysnand?
I think boot on default in the emmummc partition?
or do i only have to stay emmummc? it's in here that i block DNS , etc and install firmware 10.4.0 with choi dujoure?

Or is it from my understanding that i can upgrade OFW with choidujoire so my fuses stay intact also?

Also, on SX forum they only tell me i just upgrade firmware so I can run SX OS, but I don't believe them.
I also decided that I'm not going that road anymore, maybe after updating with choidujoire that I could try again .... but

actually I'm a bit stuck/lost at what i should do next....

Also crazy_p mentoined the SX , atmophere combo, didnt try that as of yet.

To keep your fuse count burned to low, you need to run hekate first, or a cfw or fuse bypass check, most of the cfw has this and stop you burning fuses, and allows for lower fw to run on higher updated switch fw..

Most of the CFW are working on the latest system version atm, so just check with them to make sure there supporting your current system version.
I cant advise too much on what to do as I don't know your goal yet.

As your backed up I think your pretty safe to do as you please, just research and check out a homebrew app before using it incase its a brickbrew.. Stay away from cracks like sxcrack as that was a prodinfo wiper.

Using Emuemmc if you wanna try play online, or to protect your sysnand, but to be honest, if Ninty wants to get you they can detect both emulated and non as they just scan ya Whole emmc module..
Best advice don't play online if you hack. if you don't want to risk being banned.
You can always roll back to stock switch to play online in the future, if you do not get flagged for ban now.

At first I want to thank you all for the time and the help !!!!

So and update ;
I got it working, first were some blue screens again when going down to a lower OS version.
then a purple screen. Finally , I got it booting into CFW on SX OS 2.3.0 beta.
So i'm now ready to do the emunand again in SX os. then upgrade emunand FW to 10.4.0, then update the SX OS

So i created all keys and backup nand from previous tries, do i actually have to do this again?
or can i use the ones i made from the previous tries?

Cheers
Rudy

If you have a good backup and its complete,
boot0
boot1
rawnand,
and your biskeys then you should be good..

Id just take another backup of your system again in a working state..

Soo
boot 0
boot1
Rawnand
key dump with lockpick rcm

Better safe than sorry.

* For those in the future *

Problem resolved, was not the license, nor the SD card or the emunand
It was SX OS

I got some help on the TX chat site

I rolled back all the way to SX OS 2.3.0 , problems while rolling back turned from blue screen to purple screens to black screens.
finally was able to boot it up first time in CFW. made a emunand, updated with choi du jour to 10.4.0 , still had black screen after booting in the 3.0.2 or 2.9.2

then SX OS 3.0.3 came out and the problem where resolved , just in time for paper mario :P
So again, i would like to thank everybody for your time and help.
I'm still on OFW 2.0.0 so that was the plan.

So it Seems to be that low OFW is not able to boot with higher SX OS versions.

Congrats on finally getting it solved! And good for you that you can still use SXOS.

If you ever feel like trying out the free version, you can do so as well with atmosphere as I mentioned. But if it allows you to play paper Mario I guess it is what you wanted.

Enjoy!

I know people like to bash TX but SXOS works perfectly fine for me. I don't think you can say that it is trickier than Atmos? It is literally add the file to your mem stick and boot. For me the USB HDD XCI launcher is what i need, and i believe that is only with SXOS

My intention was never to bash TX or SXOS - people who use it seem very happy with it and have particular use cases for it too.

But when trying to get to the bottom of a problem and it might be easier to use Atmosphere, it doesn't feel like a real choice when you have already invested cash in something else. I was only trying to be helpful and only have knowledge of vanilla Atmosphere - I certainly have nothing against SX!
