Homebrew Old school rom hacks for emulators

I am wondering if there are any good newly made rom hacks for the older Nintendo games. I have a bunch now, but can't find anything online that isn't a year or more old. Not asking for links, just want a names of good ones. I have the Metroid, Zelda, Mario Bros. hack from a few years ago, and again I am looking for anything new that is cool. By the way I found one a while back "Super Mario Special" that uses the original Super Mario Bros. for NES graphics and scrolling.

Many of those are great and worth having but picking a couple
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/623/ - a remake or sorts for zombies ate my neighbours.
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/601/ - think master quest but for A Link to the Past.

Several final fantasy hacks also appeared that are worth playing if you like the original games and it is always worth checking out those sites for bugfixes.
