Hi, dusted off my wii which i had installed a pic chip in (flashed with what i can't remember) which was on 3.1e i think. Updated it to 4.2e, softmodded it via bannerbomb etc and installed rev 14 cios and put Neogamma R8 beta 15 on sd. None of my games, new or old are working via neogamma, always getting error #001.

Would the old modchip be causing this error, or am i barking completely up the wrong tree? and is there any other advice anyone could give? I've tried different combinations of neogamma r7 & r8 beta 1-15 with cios rev 13a-15, to no avail. Any help would be great...thanx!!!

For single layer games, cIOS rev7 would be the best for you(no 001 error possible). rev14 and up won't fix 001 for you as your modchip interferes with the cIOS' 001 code. For most games cIOSrev13a should also work.

Yes, but it would reduce the reading speed to 3x. Just get cIOS rev7 or 13a.
