Hardware OLD 3DSXL top screen flickers/blink when play any 3d game which support 3d

@wormdood i successfully installed custom firmware now to the main thing which was blinking and flickering is still their any idea to solve it

so before we get to that we have the other problem that arised are you able to access the eShop

Edit as far as the flickering goes like I said I'm pretty sure it's a hardware issue I want you to create you an emunand and load it Up and see if the problem persists

@wormdood And also I can.t install CIA which are larger in size I get this error

@wormdood i tried everything but i can,t access to eshop it give me the same error everytime i downgrade my version as well and then update it back to latest that even not work look like i can, access to eshop anymore and i can,t large cia game which are more than 300 or 200 it give me the error which i show earlier

@wormdood and my 3ds is blinking and flckering worse like it used to before applying the trick u told even tho i apply trick again it don,t reduce the flickering and blinkering

I assume you mean you downgraded via ctrtransfer using gm9 gm9 has safety protocols in place that keep it from replacing a system title in certain situations for that reason I would recommend using decrypt9 ( which I refer to as D9 ) it has no safety protocols in place as such you yourself must make sure you're using the proper consoles firmware or else you will brick but on the bright side with no safety protocols in check it will replace a system title regardless of how old of a title you try to replace it with (or how improper as I mentioned before) once we use that to downgrade and then upgrade normally the eShop should work again but before you do any of this you should make a nand backup if you don't already have one ... that that may fix your FBI issue as well if not then it's likely a failing SD card which would be a total shame cuz I really believe that you're flickering screen is caused by your 3DS itself actually beginning to fail

bro can i tell plzz don,t laugh cuz i don,t what the nand is but i have backup my nand file and put it to mycomputer already while installing the firmware if my n3ds unfortunantly brick than idon,t even know how to use that backup file and one more thing i downgrade my 3ds11.5.0-38U using gm9

like gm9 their was perfect guide on utube for that but not for decrypt9 that suck i still have 11.5.0-38U_ctrtransfer_o3ds but don,t know how to use it on d9

wait a second n3DS? I thought you said it was an old 3DS XL just remember I did tell you it's important to have the proper files if you have the files for the wrong console you will brick your system

As far as decrypt9 files that it uses should be placed in a folder on the root of your SD card called files9 you likely have to create the folder yourself there

Edit if you do have a backup from that same 3DS and only from that same 3DS then it's the best thing you can use if not you can use the ctrtransfer image

I made an edit to my above post yes you would put your ctrtransfer image in the files9 folder although it's best to use your own nand backup if you have one that you made previously as in before you were experiencing this issue if you have multiple backups on your PC and literally can't tell one from the other cuz you didn't label them then you might as well just delete them now and go with the CTR image

I have the band back up which I just create now but not the older nand backup cuz I delete it as I uninstall the firmware k I'm putting the ctr image file to file 9 folder than what to do

Yah I go back and select ctr transfer

And that last image of the button combination yeah that's the only safety check this is program has in place so you better be sure you have the right ctrtransfer image
