So I have an old 360 (really old, without HDMI), i haven't used it for over a year but now want to burn final fantasy xiii-2 to play on the console.

I cannot remember what firmware is flashed to my dvd drive, but it was at least three years ago that it was flashed.

What i wondering is do i need to update the drive firmware and/or patch the iso before burning? And if so any quick guides to doing so? (when i first flashed my dvd firmware all i remember doing is hooking the drive up to my computer, that's about it)
The Xbox is already banned from Live so any steps purely there to prevent banning are not needed :glare:

I only have the one spare dvd to burn and really don't want to burn it to find out it needed a patch or something...

You'll have to update the console with a update downloaded from xbox.com placed on a USB drive (it could be that you have to flash your drive back to stock before updating to 14719)

After updating you'll either have to flash LT 2.0 or LT 3.0 on your DVD drive (depending on your DVD drive)

As for FF XIII-2.
I believe that that is a XGD3 game disc.
It requires a hacked iHAS B burner.

Or have someone you know that has a iHAS burner burn it for you.
Otherwise you're basically out of luck, unless you burn a truncated disc and update your console to any dashboard BELOW 14699.

The 13xxx dashes still allow truncated discs to be ran.
I'm not sure about 14699 but 14717 and 14719 can't run truncated discs.
