I'll first say it: I am a TOTAL noob at Wii hacking. I really have no idea how any of it works, and I got it mainly for ocarina and Brawl textures, which are really the only things I've used.

But now NSMBwii came out, and I REALLY wantz to play it. I have the NTSC ISO, whats the easiest way to launch it from an SD card? I have 2 SD cards. One is blank, another has my other Wii homebrew on it.

Sorry if this is answered in that noobie guide. I have to go somewhere and don't have time to read it.

So baisicly, how to I launch an ISO from an SD card? And If it has to be PAL, for whatever reason, It's Mario, its not text based, so I'll go with that if I have to.

Thanks!

I don't think you understand....
I have an ISO and stuff......I just dunno how to set up a loader or something. Is there any application that I can put in the apps folder that will just let me play ISOs? Or is it waaaay more complicated than that?

Dude! Just buy the game put it in and using a usb loader it'll download to whatever it is you're using.
So this ISO I have is absolutly useless, and I can't play this without buying it?

I agree with icpmattj. Btw, do you mind if I borrow that .gif? That is really tight and it would be very good for more situations like this.

yeah go ahead and borrow it i dont mind its not mine anywhere i found it on another board and have it book marked for topics like this.

It just annoys me when noobs come here and post questions which they could have gotten the answers for themselves if they spent five minutes searching and to say i have to go somewhere i don't have time to look at noob guides. Also someone offered the guy help in the in post #3 of this topic and the guy comes back with some BS.The answer the OP wanted is in the 2nd link of post #3 but he's to ignorant to even click it and see.I guess he doesn't have time to read the noob guides then he doesn't have time to click a link to a post that will give him his answer but yet he has time to check this thread out to see if someone will answer his question inside this post.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
