    You can only install nsp's via USB. You cannot run games from USB neither install them to USB mass storage.

    I need some help!

    I use ReiNX and I know you can use two methods to replace Album with Homebrew:

    1- Use hbl.nro on ReiNX folder
    2- Use this folder instead: ReiNX\titles\010000000000100D

    If I use the 100D folder I can acess Album by pressing R and selecting Album. If I don't press R it launcher Homebrew as expected.
    On ReiNX guide it suggests to use the hbl.nro method and it also says you can customize some settings like the combo key to acess Album. You only need to configure it on this file:
    config\hbl-config.ini

    No matter what I do, the .ini file it is NOT loaded at all. So, what I did:

    1- Use different hbl.nro versions.
    2- Use different hbmenu.nro versions.
    3- Use diferrent ReiNX payload versions.
    4- Place the .ini file on another locations on SD card.
    5- Use different settings inside .ini file like:
    changing = to :
    keep only one line, removing the others...
    use diferent combo button, etc etc etc...

    nothing worked.
    can anyone, or Rei itself explain to me how this feature works?
    is it really implemented on ReiNX cfw as it says on the guide?!

    Thx!

    What did you change in the ini.
    Please post it so we can see what happened wrong :)

    P.S. i'am not sure that you can use "2 Methods"?!
    There is only one: you need the "hbl.nro" in the ReiNX folder AND the titles folder in \ReiNX\titles\010000000000100D
    then the *.ini file will work as expected ;)

    I think there are two methods, because Rei had this described several days ago on his Guide, and now he removed it.
    The text he removed explains that if you are using a ReiNX "legacy" release you need the 100D folder. if you are using a nightly build you need hbl.nro
    I don't know what is a legacy release. Stable release I think...
    Now this part is removed from the guide, and he only states you need hbl.nro and the ini file.
    The weird part is that on the SD tree view print you can still see a titles folder, but is empty!

    And I also tested tis:
    - If you use the 100D folder without hbl.nro it replaces the album.
    - and vice versa: if you use hbl.nro without 100D folder it replaces the album too!

    I never tried using the two at the same time, maybe this is my problem, but I don't understand why the two are needed if they do the same thing.

    I tried the original file as is, with this line:
    hbKeyCombo=!R

    I tried changing to =R and it's not loaded at all.
    But again I did't tried using the two methods at the same time!

    Just bought my switch yesterday from Gamestop and this is the serial number from the console: XAW1006629, is it hackable?

    Wrong thread for that, there's a serial checking thread already.

    I'm using the nightly from a week or so ago that was compatible with 6.2. Is this new stable build using the same bin, or do I need to reflash my dongle?

    Yes that kind of wizard.
    Yes. Add
    Code:
    [ReiNX]
    payload=/ReiNX.bin

    { }
    below your [CFW] entry (so one or two lines under it's { } ), but above the {---- Miscellaneous ---} or {--- Other ---} header.

    Then place "ReiNX.bin" in the bootloader/payloads folder root of the SD card. If you did this right the anime splash screen for ReiNX will show when you try to boot it.

    Here's a part of my hekate_ipl.ini for reference.
    (Don't just copy paste mine in case you have a different setup. It's just so you can see generally how it's supposed to look.)

    Code:
    {-- Custom Firmwares --}

    [CFW]
    payload=bootloader/payloads/fusee-primary.bin
    atmosphere=1

    { }

    [ReiNX]
    payload=ReiNX.bin

    { }

    {---- Miscellaneous ---}

    [Stock]

    { }

    From what I can gather, the new additions allow you to run the TX rommenu nro app as homebrew without an SX OS license and therefore allow you to use the cheat function built into that.

    Is there any way to implement that on atmosphere ?

    Only if the atmosphere developers implement these services, too. It might not be in their interest, though, they might favor implementing their own services.

    Let's not forget that atmosphere is heavily against piracy and implementing these services from TX might simply be something they want to avoid as it apparently would also require implenting a subset of their piracy services.

    I'm assuming that this stuff from reinx could be put into a custom .kip for atmosphere to load, if it doesn't interfere with any of atmosphere's own shit. I'm no expert tho.

    ReiNX guide didn't say anything about titles folder because you don't need it anymore. For ReiNX 2.0, you no longer need titles. Delete that! :)

    There is no titles folder needed ? So for example if I want a mod for TBOI or PLG, I just put the mod on a folder ?

    I have no idea. I don't use the mod at all. I don't need mod. I am just playing normal Nintendo Switch games and titles folder are no longer need. If you want a mod then you need layeredfs to enable. And switch with ReiNX; after go to the toolkit and you should see kip manager. You want fs_mitm.kip and, loader.kip, pm.kip and sm.kip to have a ✔ and not an ✖.

    Thanks for the info!
    So, can you tell me if the customization for hbloader set on hbl-config.ini file works for you?

    Edit: ReiNX guide now explains the two methods again!! Still doesn't work.
