What is it?
It is a direct sequel to the PlayStation 2 and Wii title ?kami.
It was designed by Kuniomi Matsushita, the director of the Wii port of ?kami, and Motohide Eshiro, producer of Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth.
?kamiden is as an action-adventure game similar to games from The Legend of Zelda series.
Gameplay
It stars Chibiterasu, a small celestial wolf born from Amaterasu, protagonist of ?kami, and features much of the same gameplay as its predecessor, including the Celestial Brush which allows players to freeze the gameplay and draw shapes or patterns using the touch screen to effect changes on the game's world.
This remains central to the game for solving puzzles and fighting enemies.[/p]

The rom for the Japanese game has been released by BAHAMUT, id is 5238.

Please do not ask for any rom links, and stay on topic.

UPDATE: It has been rumoured that Okamiden will be released for the 3DS later on in the year, depending on how well the DS version does.

Looks great. Will probably get it as soon as the NA release is dumped. Pretty far away release date though :(

Are the prices correct? It seems they are ripping off European consumers.

I used to love Okami, and that was with the far from optimal for the painting scenarios PS2 controller. The DS with its touchscreen is really the perfect platform for this concept, if they manage to catch the atmosphere from Okami, this just can't go wrong
