Well, my grandma buys it because she is used to it and honestly no one wants her to stop understanding how to use phones so she keeps using iphones. Even if she doesn't really need to always buy the latest ones. Also right now my android broke and until i get a new one i'm using my dad's old iphone 6. Of course gonna change it as soon as possible, but meanwhile it sure does its job.

[Insert Nokia and Android One propaganda]
Seriously though, you should get a Nokia.
Just keep in mind none of Nokia's newer phones come with an unlockable bootloader. It probably doesn't concern most people but you ain't flashing ROMs on Nokia's devices any time soon unless they have a change of heart. Which I sincerely hope they do because they make SOLID phones in every sense of the word

Anyone knows good phones preferably under 350 euros? That have a bootloader that can be unlocked, can be rooted, but. Most importantly. They MUST have official firmwares that can be downloaded on the official website, and a way to flash it to fix bricks.

Xiaomi's Pocophone F1 recently went global and is pretty much THE BEST value for money on the market ATM, if you're willing to put up with MIUI and a plastic construction. They also make the Mi A2, which runs Android One and is still a pretty good deal, although I'd dig a little deeper with this one, it may or may not have thermal issues.

There's the essential phone ph-1, which has last year's specs and a pretty bad camera but runs fully stock Android with fast updates and excellent titanium+ceramic construction, and is going to for a a bit over 300$ on amazon

The first generation Google pixel from two years ago is going in the 300$ range RN, which is I guess something to consider? The camera and build quality are solid and that's about it really. And it's a pixel device.

That's all I can think of right now, might update later on.

Well I had an Android phone, but then I did something really really dumb. So now I'm using my mom's old iPhone 6, and it feels so slow compared to my old Moto E4. I can't wait until there's an iOS 11.4.1 jailbreak, cuz stock iOS sucks.

I will consider the old pixel if that's the current price.

iOS 12 will speed it up. And yes iphone 6 will have ios 12. I tested the beta version and it was REALLY faster.

IMO don't, unless you must have a western brand. It's two years old at this point and the camera is really it's only saving grace. It's gonna stop getting updates soon and will get slower over time.

You can just update it manually when it stops getting updates (thanks to Treble) and it has decent enough specs to not slow down for some time.
Oh absolutely, but those will be unofficial community made updates which is something to keep in mind. Not everyone wants to flash roms and stuff.

The Greek dub of Toy Story's You've got a friend in me is still a classic even among boomers who've never watched the movie, mostly because it was sung by a famous beloved Greek singer

Also his choice was quite interesting since his songs are anything but family-friendly
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
If anything, some of his songs were so controversial that he got troubles with the law regarding "blasphemy laws" in Greece.
