MunkeeMan, I don't have a G6 myself, but from what I've read that is now true. Each game has its own save slot (actually 3 save slots per game to allow multiple people to share a game), and you can play as many games as you like and it will all just work as expected. This is true for the G6 Lite and G6 if you update the software on it.

All of the documentation out there tells you to format it FAT16. (It comes formated FAT16 out of the box too.) Why would you want to format it FAT32?

It supports FAT16/FAT32 format. Long file name are also supported. (It is still necessary to update in FAT16 format.)
So I assumed that you needed Fat32 in order to get long file name support....but I guess I was wrong as I am playing in fat16 with long file name support. Groovy. Wonder why the EZ-Flash III guys can't do this? Oh well time to go play more with my lite!

Great review Qrayzie!

I was wondering; you said you bought your G6Lite from Winsunx right? When did you pay for it ?
Because I bought my the 22nd and paid for it the 23rd (after they sent me a confirmation email of purchase)
Today is july 6th and I still haven't received a tracking number

I would have thought that I was in queue for their first batch... quess not.

PS. Sorry for the kinda of out of topic question.

There is absolutely no advantage to using FAT32 on such a small device anyway.

Don't worry about it. I ordered and paid on the 21st, and the tracking number arrived in my inbox on the 28th. The package arrived on the 30th.

Just as a general note, I always pay for my purchases at WinSunX before they send the confirmation e-mail. As soon as my order is complete on their site, I log on to PayPal and pay right away.

Everything seems great and nice, but what really scares me is losing that proprietery "USB connector" thing. Do you know if there is a way to reorder a replacement if you lose it?

That's quite a common concern forkyfork, but one I've never really understood myself. How on earth can you lose the USB connector? Unless you take a bunch of roms and the installation software around everywhere with you, surely there's absolutely no reason you'd have to take the USB connector outside of the house?!

Dude I was down with this review til I saw the Gilmore Girls dvd in the drive hahah... jk. Nah sounds like an awesome product. I would have bought this instead of an M3 CF, but I wanted a lot of storage for flexibility.

well i have a question, does the G6 have features of M3 such as the dumper and others, what about GBA support, for example i heard m3 cant run fire emblem the sacred stones, can G6 run it.
And about the ingame reset, both m3 and g6 didnt support some games like mario kart, are these supported now?what about the builtin battery?is it rechargable as they say or is it liek the old one?do i have to recharge it before using it when i get it like what you do with a EFA?also if the battery dies does it affect nds? What about GBA save?does it automatically save instantly or does it save after restarting? One last thing, you didnt talk about changing the cover, how is the build quality and is it easy to change it?people reported that with EZ4 lite

Unless you have a laptop and you take it all on vacation or something. There is always (well, almost) a good reason for people to do things.

Qrayzie, in your review you stated that with the passcard 3 removed battery life was almost the same as using a commercial cart. How much worse is it with a pass device such as passcard 3 inserted?

The NoPass devices appear to cut anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes off the battery life, but I really haven't been able to develop a foolproof method of testing it. There's another thread going about battery life testing, and it really is a bit of a pain to set a method that yields good results.

@SylverReZ find me ONE community that is free of drama and politics. even video games forums (like this one) have politics section. and for some reason gamers still take consoles/brands wars seriously. even as a kid i never took the console wars bait despite being a nintendo kid.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
one of the reasons i deleted all my social media accounts, reddit account (although i was rarely using it) etc was to get away from this shit.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Vetusomaru, Sadly, not all communities like to play nice. Forums are pretty much dying despite Discord amongst other social media being available.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
i only kept my twitter accounts and only because many of the artists i like share their art only/mostly at twitter.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
lots of discord groups (even the big ones) are also dead for some reason.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Twitter is way too shittier.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
that's why i added some firefox addons to block shit like twitter trends.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Discord, on the other hand, moderation tends to not be very nice in video game communities from what I had experienced.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
nah, discord is also a shithole. discord is good only if you have your own community with your own rules. or if you re lucky to find some groups that arent shitholes.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
as about forums, when i recently revisited some old forums i used to be regular and seeing how immature most members still are i was like "Yeap. Nothing of value has been lost.". Unfortunately it's the good, comfy forums that ended up dead or shut down, especially because of internet centralization.
