Welcome to the official BDX Mega Pack thread! Here, you will be able to download the BDX Mega Pack, as well as tools you will need to use it. If you're already familiar with the BDX Mega Pack, please feel free to download and discuss the new version of the pack, and if you have no idea what on Earth the BDX Mega Pack is, then read on!

What is the BDX Mega Pack?

The BDX Mega Pack is a song pack for use with Jam With the Band (E) or Daigasso! Band Brothers DX (J). The pack contains thousands of ".bdx files", which are essentially midi renditions of songs that can be played in the game. However, the pack itself is not all you will need to add these files into a Jam With the Band (E) or Daigasso! Band Brothers DX (J) save file...

How do I get started?

The short answer is to visit the front page of the Jam With the Band Wiki (http://jwtb.wikia.co...h_the_Band_Wiki) and read the Getting Started section.

The long answer is that you will need to download the pack, download either BDX Tool or Degausser and of course, be using a flash cart that is compatible with Jam With the Band (E) or Daigasso! Band Brothers DX (J). Details on how to do all of these things can be found in the Getting Started section of the front page of the wiki.

How does the game play?

It's a rhythm game that uses the DS's face buttons to play music. Additionally, you can play any instrument within a song. Please visit this page to see a few examples of gameplay: http://www.gamefaqs....the-band/videos

What is the Jam With the Band Wiki?

The Jam With the Band Wiki was created to serve as a companion to the BDX Mega Pack, allowing users to download the BDX Mega Pack, tools related to Jam With the Band and to serve as a source of information for people interested in the game.
The Wiki's home page can be found here: http://jwtb.wikia.co...h_the_Band_Wiki
A list of all pages on the Wiki can be found here: http://jwtb.wikia.co...Category:Browse

What kind of music is in the BDX Mega Pack?

Due to most of the .bdx files coming from Japanese players, most of the songs are J-Pop, Anime and Video Game themes, however there are a small amount of World songs as well. Keep in mind that all of the music in this game is midi, but this allows you to be able to play any instrument within a song.

Did you make all of these .bdx files?

Nope. I haven't made a single one. All of these are collected from other sources, and all credit goes to the original .bdx creators. I have done nothing but compile the .bdx files for ease of use.

How do I make a new .bdx file?

There is an in-game editor for doing this. Unfortunately, I cannot offer any specific help regarding the editor, as I have never made a single .bdx file.

How do I download songs from Wi-Fi?

By using a retail copy of Jam With the Band (E) or Daigasso! Band Brothers DX (J). There is currently no way to download from Wi-Fi while running the game on a flash cart. Thus it is best to play this game with all 3 options, a flash cart to use the BDX Mega Pack, and a copy of both region's version of the game, to access their individual Wi-Fi servers (they're different between the European and Japanese versions).

What if I want to try out some of the songs in the pack without having to mess with the tools?

Please visit the Save Files page of the Wiki (http://jwtb.wikia.com/wiki/Save_Files) for a list of saves packed with some of the songs in the BDX Mega Pack. You can even click the link in the "Song List" tab and see what's in that particular save file. Also, please make sure to check that you are downloading the correct save file size for your flash cart.

I have another question about something...

Please read the Readme included in the BDX Mega Pack and check the Wiki before asking technical questions, but feel free to post here if you cannot find an answer to your question.

What is the changelog of the current version?

What is the Expansion Pack for? What's in the current Expansion Pack?
The expansion packs are meant to tide you over until I release the next proper version of the pack. I make them with whatever bdx files I have obtained since the last version if there hasn't been a release in a while. Usually, these expansion packs only contain a few songs (otherwise I would just make a new version of the pack), and don't include the rest of the pack with them. If you want them, just add them to their respective folders in your existing pack download.

There is no current expansion pack. Please download BDX Mega Pack 2.3

Is there a list of all of the songs in the main pack?
Here you go.

Yes, Yasu's site is up again so you can download BDX Tool from it.

That shows you how to get it.

darn. no new vocaloid songs :|
good job though

Can't add them if I don't know what they are, and I generally don't listen to vocaloid songs.
If you want them in the pack so bad, go here: http://banbro.moero.info/up/index.php?page=all
And search for vocaloid and send me anything you find along with the title and name of the vocaloid that sings it.

do you mind if i just release a single package with just vocaloid songs?

Well, you could do that, but I'll add them to the next version of the pack as well.
I mean really you can do whatever you want, it's not like I made these files after all.
