metroid prime deservse to be there and those of you who dissagree probably haven't played it (it's a better than prime 2 and allot better than prime 3)

plus metroid prime on GC was the first 3D metroid. Same with Zelda too, and mario 64. these are all the first time a 2D game went 3D, i'm seeing a huge pattern here.

Seems the only way to beat all these would be to start creating the next Nintendo franchises in 4D....or in space.

I was surprised to hear this earlier. Ocarina of Time dethroned? That's almost unimaginable to me. To be fair though, Super Mario Galaxy is a fantastic game. I've been playing it for days and I'm really enjoying myself. Still, Ocarina of Time is a legend (of Zelda!

), so it's still a bit jarring to hear this.

On gamestats's list OoT's press average is still on top. But it only has 26 reviews compared to gameranking's 31 for OoT, and 40 reviews compared to gameranking's 30.

not that i'm dissing galaxy, i haven't even played it! but i can't imagine any game that could beat OOT except maybe another zelda!

I think it just shows how limiting basing the top 10 games on reviews is. Does anyone actually agree with this list?

I've played the original metroid prime and I don't think it deserves a spot. I actually prefer the 2D metroids by far!

Also: mario 3 > all 3D marios

I totally agree with the 2D metroid especially the one for SNES. I think there are many 2D games that should be on that list but arnt, just for the fact that the site wasnt around when they were released making it so they will probably never be on the top 10 or anywhere close to it.
