    Backed up the game,
    renamed it to .3DZ,
left the .sav on the SD card renaming it to the titleID
and put the .3dz on the micro sd card

But when i start the game it says it is corrupt.

I read about the whole 512k save issue. Is there a list of games with the save issue? Is this game one of them?

    Wherever you want me, baby.
3DS/Z types aren't interchangeable, when it comes to saves. Also, there's no reason to make OoT3DS 3DZ, as it doesn't have online multiplayer, so you should rename it back to .3DS, and it'll work again.

the reason to make games .3dz can also be for being able to use your save from your own personal cart....not only for online use purposes, but as the OP is already aware and has been told, if the save is not 512KB it WILL NOT work, ocarina of time has a 128kb save so you cannot use the save from a retail cart on a rom

Was afraid of this. Is there a list of 512kb games?

nope, best advice i can give is just dump all your saves in 1 go, and look through the dumpd saves to see which are 512kb, then you can just dump those games (ps the dumped save name is the games ID so you can search it on 3ds.essh.co if your not sure which save came from where)

Gateway is working on their save system and I'm hoping they will be able to fix this.
source - www.gateway-3ds.com ''Our next focus will be revising the savegames subsystem. We think a lot of our savegame editing and retail gamecard users will be pleased with what we have planned!
Once approved by our beta testing friends, the final release will be published. If all goes well, this means very soon.
Until next time, ENJOY and as always support the innovators and not the imitators!''

We are not certain what they are referring to. They could be working on the 6.X encryption for saves instead of fixing this. Has someone sent them an email regarding the 128kb (retail save) vs 512kb (GW created save) issue?

They mentioned save editing users keep that in mind. It doesnt just mean 6.x encryption saves.. lol its probably gonna be a save game editor with the ability to "patch" your retail saves.

That doesn't mean that they have acknowledged this issue... just remember how loud is the sysNAND created save VS emuNAND created save for retail cartridges of Pokemon.

Bro if you mention save game editing more than likely it has something to do with save game editing. Like i said im betting its gonna be a savgame editor with a way to patch your retail cart saves into gateway.

I think I got your point now, but that's not what I'm looking for. Their system can already use saves from retail cards for ROMs. You seem to be saying that they are going to create some sort of editor to convert 128 saves to 512 saves, which is a very unproductive way to "fix" this issue.

Its unproductive but i thinks thats what they are most likely to do. Its probably easier than fixing the code.
