Ocarina of Time 3D release date is June 7th
Nintendo confirms the hinted release date.
Nintendo has confirmed the release date for Ocarina of Time 3D to be June 7th 2011 (which happens to be the beginning of E3), in which Iwata hinted at during Nintendo’s keynote conference during GDC 2011. You should also expect Zelda Skyward Sword to release quite soon after that as well since it was stated before that the game would see a release soon after Ocarina of Time 3D.

I haven't seen the 7 coming from a reliable source yet.

Well we're pretty sure it's coming in the beginning of June, right? I think I'll get it cause it will be cool, and I've never actually finished it on my N64 or anything else...

Would this be an international release date or just for Japan?

Well, they said it would be out by the end of June, so June 7th sounds logical.

It sounds accurate to me. I can't wait.

    Edit:

Well, they said it at an American conference, so I would think it's for America. I would assume Japan would get it before us, if not at the same time, so my guess is that June 7th is the international date.

Since this is a remake, they shouldn't need any time at all for translation. Of course, the 3DS will be released a whole month later in the US, so they might pull that again.

in the case of 3ds launch i suspect the delay was more of a potential shortage issue (after all, they did sell out in most stores in a matter of hours on japanese release and ended up selling over 400,000 on the day...

N64 zelda games were horribly messed up for me when that whole majoras mask creepypasta thing happened. I will still play this, and love it, but always have that in the back of my mind.....

IT BETTER BE! I dont wanna wait much longer than that for my ONLY 3D game. I'm relying on my old DS games (on my Supercard) and CoD on PS3 to keep me entertained...

Just watching some YouTube videos of the N64 masterpiece. You know what would be amazing, if there was some pre-order bonus to this, or you got yourself a gold card or something like that.

IGN for some reason has it listed as a June 30th release date, that is for both North America and the UK. The earlier the better though, not gonna be a lot to play on the 3DS for me on release day so the sooner they get games out that I want to play the better.

Trust me; The 3DS is kind of in "coma" mode.

By Christmas, the 3DS will probably kick off and completely destroy the market.

I don't think they'd do the gold cart thing since it's not really visible when in the system like the N64 game was, hardly seems worth it. But I'd love to see a great pre-order bonus for this. Preferably a mini statue of Link on Epona, that would kick SO much ass.

As for what Slyakin said about the 3DS being in 'coma mode', I don't really think that's true. It's got a reasonably strong launch lineup, even if I am pissed off about DOA Dimensions being delayed, it's got some decent stuff to keep us occupied. True, it's not up to full spec yet but it's not exactly quiet. It sold 400,000+ on the first day and it's getting just as crazy with the pre-orders here in the UK, people are going mental over this thing.

Well, my boss is anyway. He'd just bought his son a DSi and found out about the 3DS from me about 2 days later [IMG]

The NES version wasn't visible either yet it was gold. Its possible the make the cart a gold just in general.... or we could hope.

That's the thing. I think this ISN'T the 3DS at full power. Imagine what mania will occur with the release of Super Mario 3DS and Zelda 3DS?

Not to mention the other great titles in the future. Only Nintendo can make a 3rd-party launch list and STILL make it awesome. [IMG]

A gold cart would be really cool. I remember the day I got my gold OOT cart in the special box and special bag. Good times. And then MM had the lentacular label. Come to think of it, I never beat MM. Maybe I should dig that out...
