Hacking O3DS 10.7 - Ways to play 3DS games

Hello,

I'm a new owner of an old 3DS, the current version is 10.7 (the latest one if I'm not wrong)
So I'm looking for the easiest way to be able to run roms on my console

I've been reading this forum for the last 2 days...

I'f I'm not wrong, for version 10.7 the possible ways are:
1) Buy Sky3ds+ (expensive but seems like the easiest way)
2) Buy Cubic Ninja (which is very expensive as we all know), OOT 3D + Powersaves (still will be around 60 dollars/euros), Super smash bros (the hardest way to downgrade)
3) Buy Gateway (but it does not support 10.7)


So in other words I have two options,
either to buy a sky3ds+ OR OOT3D/Powersaves.

One question just to clarify something:
Let's say I buy a sky3ds+, then I will be good to go? Will I just add roms and play (on version 10.7)?
Or do I still have to downgrade my 3DS?

Basically what I don't understand is:
Buying Sky3ds+ will not require any additional steps (apart from the guide on their official website) to be able to play roms? I won't have to worry about downgrades, firmwares, bricking 3DS etc etc. It will be just one flashcard with some roms and I can easily use them?

Easiest way to play 3ds games: buy them! ^^
(else, the sky3ds+ is "plug and play", without the need to downgrade).

Or OoT plus a friend with a 3DS on 10.5 or lower.

Unlike Cubic Ninja you can buy OoT new for a reasonable price.

You could also buy a sky3ds (non-plus) and use that to load cubic ninja and downgrade. I've seen the non-plus go almost as low as 35-40 dollars, depending on where you look.

Yeah sky3ds is the easiest way to go but if you also want to play online without the risk of banning you either need power saves anyway or downgrade anyway.

Thanks a lot for the replies. I might go with Sky3ds+ then, it is expensive but at least it will work without worrying about my version (10.7) etc
I don't mind NOT playing online. I have already bought some 3DS games anyway, but I just don't have the money to buy everything and sometimes I want to test some games.

This. You won't find it for that price on any official resellers, you'll need to go to second hand stores and sites like e-bay to find it.

Also, you won't find anything searching "Sky3ds," try searching "3ds memory card adapter"

In case I buy a sky3ds+, I prefer to do it through eBay and PayPal; It is much safer than all those "official" reseller websites.

What I'm wondering is: If I buy the flashcard from China, will I be able to run EU roms on a EU 3DS?
Do I need to worry about the region of the flashcard? Or does it just mean: you buy a flashcard (from anywhere) - you use it on your 3DS - you can run ONLY roms with the same region as your console?

Pretty sure they're all made in China anyway but I believe you need to have CFW to play region free, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I really don't mind if I can't play region free.
What I'm concerned about is whether I can play EU roms on my 3DS (EU region) OR if the region of sky3ds matters at all.

It makes sense though, sky3ds is a chinese manufacturer, so it should just depend on the region of your console. Noob question I know, but just want to make sure

Yeah, the flashcart is region free, the games are not.
