Im sorry if this has been asked before but does it plays 4K .mkv files? Does it have to make a special config for working? Im trying to play some videos but it just turns a black screen and you can only hear audio while the video is playing :unsure:

Im using last version: 0.9.0

Edit: It seems its working with some other kind of 4K media files. It must be because of how is recoded.

Hi all!

I am very very busy in my life (work,family and so on) and i don't have too much time right now to update nxmp (i have some features never released like HW deinterlace and updated hw decoding code. But i hope next month to have a bit of free time to answer issues and maybe release an updated version of NXMP (with fixed bugs that has been reported)

Other then my real life work, the family and also a side work (i am recording two TV show right now for a local TV here in Italy) , I worked on NXMP a bit and i hope to make a bug fix version in november (hope so).

I don't have time right now to answer to all the questions here, sorry but the i don't have free time right now.
The project is not dead, the target is to have a 1.0 version that works well for everyone!

Enjoy!

For the opengl artificats this posted on NXMP github issue by xfangfang can help on OpenGL version

@proconsule
I have encountered the similar issue when developing wiliwili. I just found that setting opengl-glfinish to yes could avoid the problem (not quite sure about the reason, but I guess it might be an issue with Mesa on Switch).

https://mpv.io/manual/stable/#options-opengl-glfinish
https://mpv.io/manual/stable/#low-latency-playback

--opengl-glfinish=yes, can reduce buffering in the graphics driver
Although according to the mpv documentation, this would greatly affect performance, my actual tests showed no observable difference compared to before.

So glad the project is not dead! One of the best homebrew apps. I'm hoping they'll still be a comic book reader added at some point as mentioned previously..

Hello, I have a 256 GB flash drive. I downloaded TV shows and movies there, I connect them via Type-C, the application does not see the flash drive, the format of the flash drive is FAT32. In the NX-Shell application, the flash drive is displayed and folders are visible.
