Just found this news where it says that the next nintendo's console, the NX, will be compatible with Smarthphone, PC and Playstation 4 :O
See by yourselves... but it's in french xD

EDIT : BTW, GBATemp should add a Nintendo NX section where we could talk about news and rumors found on internet, discuss about futures possible games, etc..

Will it be compatible with the Macintosh II, the Amiga, the Rasperry Pi 2 and the Coleco Telstar too?

That is actually the most intelligent question ever asked about NX, will it be compatible with Amiibo?
or only 3ds and Wii U will?
I really hope Nx will be compatible....

What would be cool is if it had backward compatibility with Wii U, Wii, Gamecube, Nintendo 64, SNES and NES.
AND they should publish again NES SNES N64 and GC released titles AND new ones.

    Imagine, new NES games :D
The legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword NES Edition.
Also, it will reduce the price of all those NES title game on ebay, you know, those that are still brand new in their original wrap sold at 50 000$

The NX sounds more like a hardware DRM device that works in conjunction with devices to allow Nintendo games to be played on other devices using their device.

And I agree, a Nintendo NX section is due!

I can't see it not being compatible. It would be a pretty bad move to alienate them after selling so many BUT it would give them an opportunity to launch a NEW line that would be compatible.

it's not yet confirmed but the NX will have the equivalent of 2 GTX Titan X as GPU power and the most powerful CPU ever : intel 7.6GHz 12-core

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

I hear it's also compatible with ZSNES, but that's only rumours at Nintendo UK's offices.
    It's also compatible with Nesticle.
I was spying on their phone calls because I work at the GCHQ.

I'm pretty sure amiibo will be compatible with the NX. And there are 2 reasons I believe this:
    1. amiibo will probably still be a big thing. They bring a lot of money to N. There's no reason to discontinue them. At least for a long time.
    2. If they do discontinue amiibo though, consider this: The Wii U is compatible with every Wii accessory. I'm pretty sure the NX wil be Wii U-compatible, so if for no other reason, this could be one for them to include the NFC chip.
