Nice! Better than Nicalis' one. Too bad that the two player mode was made by them.

I noticed that the level editor is not working. It opens, the game either hangs or just stops receiving inputs (can't tell). Oh, it uses mouse and a lot of key bindings on Windows. That's why, probably. Maybe just disable it?

I think custom levels loading is not working either?..

I noticed that the editor wasn't working. Was going to see what I could do about that. Maybe use the touch screen? I'll take a look at the custom level loading. ;)

I think it's not worth the effort. There are external editors for the game.

If you have a hacked Switch (which this requires) you can just pirate it though.

This seems a great port, thank you O.P. and not a single trace of Java in sight, phew ;)

VVVVVV-U (for WIi U) when? To my knowledge the game never actually had an official release on that platform so it would make more sense to port it there.

Interesting to know that it can be done this way. But I already have it purchased so there's that! Many thanks nevertheless!

Started looking at this, and it's unfortunately not as simple of a port as the Switch version. I have to make some changes to PhysicsFS library to support the Wii U due to the lack of POSIX thread support.

Wish I had a hackable Switch. Though I love the game it is a little bit too short for the price, especially given I'd beaten it a few times on other platforms.

For a second I was really excited about this, but if you go to the repository on GitHub and check the license you'll see how the headline is misleading: the game is not "open source". The license imposes restrictions on redistribution, stating that you cannot sell the original or altered code in binary or text form, which goes against the definition of open source.

That said, it's nice that the source code was made public, even if it is pretty messy.
