Tegra 2? Ah I remember! The original component of DS2. Who cares NVIDIA?

People are complaining about the price of the 3DS already. It'd be a lot worse if they used a more expensive GPU.

Tegra 2 has serious tecnical problems. That's why Nintendo didn't use it. Tegra 2 was a good option for DS2 because it has a Cortex A9 processor.

When did 3D become equivalent to an actual holographic display?

The problem is that decision is completely hypocritical, the gyroscope also consumes and is not compatible to use with the 3D display. Why has not ruled out the gyroscope then? I guess because some future set of one or more of the "artists" from Nintendo will use it. The other point is the futility of the cameras, how useful are the camera for gaming? I mean, is something that makes sense in a multimedia device such as smartphone but... in a video game? The sad thing is that Nintendo has plans for this.

Reason this wasn't in the 3DS? It wasn't around for developers to code on.

    Dreamland.
I won't know how I will feel about it until I see it in action. Though it does look pretty good.

That's about between an Nvidia 7600GS and 7600GT... at max.

Most things will likely not have it clocked at max in order to save on heat and battery life, so we're looking at maybe the equal of a geforce 6600?

It's not going to play crysis, I can tell you that much, but it should manage... say, a specifically-ported version of Team Fortress 2 (not on high settings) fine.

Assuming their MIPS number is true for real-world performance...

That's not for the GPU, but for the dual core cortex A9 cpu.

    EDIT: Remember it's an SOC.

    that techeye+master image "conversation"...
it smells of sony, rly rly rly rly hard
i've never sensed so close a nintendo-hating psp-device idea that much before

anw it's like the touch screen with the ds...
    i-devices got like..multi-touch screen?
i've got here graphics tablet with pressure--sensing....

they are all even better than the touch screen of the ds...still somehow, it sold 130kk units
cuz nintendo sells it cheap, simple and with enough support for it
    end of story

fake3ds-tvs cost about 2000$ these days, care to guess how much this would be?
so yeah, it'Ll be in handhelds, probably what ppl can't afford and those who can, buy it for e-respect
it's new, unless it has support and is not cheap, it's a waste and afaik, no-one can yet give us any of that apart from nintendo
