does this work for people *today* ?

i just tried to use it and it's getting a 404 error (file does not exist) from the server while requesting the TMD!
it's then locking-up, but that's just bad programming! [IMG]

no, but i have a suspicion what it was.

i'm posting here on my main (Linux) machine.

the one i ran NUSD on obviously runs windowz, and it has a firewall otherwise i may as well remove the harddrive and beat it to death with a hammer! [IMG]

i suspect the firewall may be changing or masking the browser ID string.
and i think nintendo verifies that to see if the request comes from a wii.
so i'll have to go check it later.

I had the same problem. I fixed it by putting the letters in capitals like this: 000000010000003C

    thanks, i'll try that.

there's a lack of info for that tool,
that's one question, capitals, or lowercase.
another unanswered question is: if the title is in hex, then why do we enter the version in decimal?
    or do we?

put the letters in capitals. Example: 000000010000003c change that to capitals and it becomes 000000010000003C

Everyone who has told me they had 404 issues has turned out to have an off/bad internet connection. It shouldn't freeze unless your screwing around with the form a lot (even then probably not - still would be doing its job).

Considering I am downloading 1-3c right now, I'd say that the lettering does not matter. I'd still use caps though, as folders would be created for 3C and 3c separately.

There's no checking to see whether a Wii is downloading or not. The build you are using sends the default User-Agent, however v1.1 in the works now uses the Wii's one. There's really no difference in what you can do with/without a User-Agent.

Version numbers are decimal because that is how sane version numbers should be. TitleIDs are in hex because that is how the convention is done, and how the server stores them. All of these can be found in Wiibrew's Title database and IOS History.

well my connection is fine for everything else, and i dropped the filter & everything.
shit still does the 404 on me! [IMG]

i can download using update-downloader on Linux,
so i know it's not the connection, but update-downloader wont create wad's

i'm sure it's a fucking windows problem! [IMG]
