Hardware nunchuck problems

so i just got this nunchuck and half the time it wont work like if im playing mario galaxy 2 mario keeps ducking and in zelda tp link keeps going in 1st person i unplug and plug it back in alot but it will only work like half the time and eventualy if messes up again...i need some help

wait I think I fixed it by resyncing the wiimote if it worked then let this be a refrence for any1 else with this problem

If its new just send it back to Nintendo.
