just got a "ccclx" eternal sonata ntsc release. burnt it to disk, but my ntsc x360 says it's the wrong region.

is there a specific patch for this game?
are ntsc games divided into sub regions?

American Eternal sonata is region locked to ntsc/u only (American systems). Japanese , and Asian systems are also ntsc. So you'll have to get the relevant release , either the Asian version or Japanese. No idea if they will include English and the Pal version is locked to Pal only , so can't use that either.

this was in the nfo of the game that didn't run:

    Title: Eternal Sonata
    Date: 9/18/07
    System: XBOX360
    Region: NTSC/U

i'm not sure whether my x360 is originally from japan or hongkong.

    for japan i'm guessing i need NTSC/J
but whats the asian/ HK version? NTSC/A?

Far as I know Asian 360 games are ntsc/j as well , so will run fine on either. Easy enough to tell if your 360 is Japanese or Asian , if it came with 220V power supply and a uk style plug , it's Asian , if it didn't , it's Japanese. Not that it really matters as they will both run ntsc-j games.

According to play-asia , there is a English language Asian version , so I'd be hunting for that.

its called... are you ready for this... "Trusty Bell" lol

    Language : English
    Voice : Japan, English (Selectable)
    Region Free : NO !

Edit: i'm currently getting lost oddesey which is a FOUR double layer disk game. it's gonna be a while before that finishes, then i can start on eternal sonata/trusty bell.
