Wow wow wow - remoteplay? Is it possible to remote control my n3ds? It would be so cool if I could use my gamecube controller with the adapter on the pc and control my n3ds with it!

It's not quite remote play, it's only showing the 3DS screen on your PC and there's no sound transmitted (yet).

Might be possible tho, in the future, who knows. It'd have to be stable first and foremost.

i can only agree with ash on this one:
Science is soo amazing =D

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Tip for people acctually using this to record:
Don't record while having powercable hooked to the 3ds, it will create static noise in the recording, running the stream on battery power off the 3ds will do the trick.

Distance seems to be more of a contributing factor to stability than the router itself. With my crappy setup I'm still getting near perfect playability with all devices in the same room and zero network congestion.

Router: ($40) Belkin N300 Wireless 802.11/ 2.4GHz single band.
Laptop: Toshiba (Win 7), AMD A8-6410 R5/ 2 GHz/ 6GB Ram/ 64-Bit
Internet: 50MBps Up/15MBps down.

Using LAN on laptop to increase throughput via Wi-Fi signal. Biggest signal loss is during load times. It takes a second to reestablish stability.

May I ask, what's the fps when you play online battles and stream on twitch at same time?

Can't my router is too far away from my room :/

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Like my room is upstairs and router is downstairs
Use a powerline adapter to get a wired connection in another room.
My setup: Dual Modem/Router in Living room connected to internet via cable/Poweline adapter connected to the LAN on that router and plugged in/Second Powerline adapter in bedroom/LAN plugged from adapter to second Router in bedroom/ PS4/PS3/Laptop connected to second router via LAN connections. Cell phone, 3DS etc connected to either Wi-Fi signal from router.

Streaming does not influence the fps of the game because that's done from the pc and that has the fps already, it shows 16/25 but battles seem to have higher fps, it's more like 20/25 fps in battles it's decent trust me, pokemon runs great =), i haven't tried online battles yet but they should have higher fps since they don't use scenery. i can try it later =)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Btw you can see the fps in the video i posted it has fps counter on the side, that's what the stream get's from the game by wifi

Sharing my new .bat file, for use with Obs
makes life easyer, also as reminder, use hotkeys in Ntr Debugger to input the command's like connect remoteplay write, by using hotkeys in the tools section and trigger them with Ctrl + Number pad
My new bat file:

cd "C:\Users\Dennis\Dropbox\3Ds Capture"
start NTRViewer.exe -l 1 -t 1.0 -b 1.2
cd "C:\Users\Dennis\Dropbox\3Ds Capture"
start ntrclient.exe
cd "C:\Users\Dennis\Dropbox\3Ds Capture\obs-studio\bin\64bit"
start obs64.exe
exit

replace cd with dir of your stuff but the rest should be good =)

Ok, can you also test the fps of the twitch stream when you are battling viewers online?

But I more worried about the stream framerate when viewers watch my stream on their end
Wouldn't the latency be pretty much the same as the stream preview either way? The only factor I could see, you need a stable connection to stay online in the Pokemon games, while streaming AND remote viewing with NTR could possibly cause a bottleneck and decrease performance or cause a disconnect in the game. At least that seems to be true for the WT/GTS/Wi-Fi trading aspects of the game. Then again, my connections are kind of shit so all of that just eats my CPU/GPU anyway.........

since twitch streams in 60 fps, the framerate of Ntr Viewer will be more then fine, ther will be no frame loss, if you think about that. i'll get twitch later and work it out i'll report back then.

my recordings are btw made with a program that also streams to twitch and my settings are "record streaming output" so it records exactly what a stream would see, so you can defently use my vid as test for streaming.

you have a very real different problem though.
Ntr viewer will cut off all internet to all games. so you won't be able to battle other people using wifi when streaming, so no online battles, this is not workaroundable atm, you can only hope and pray that a future ntr update will fix this up, but you NEED to terminate your internet to use the streaming option, that's just how it works with pokemon games atm :s

Not sure if it matters, but it seems you have a few extra spaces in the connect command. It should be:

connect('10.0.0.145', 8000)

Also, it's normal for the debugger to disconnect after launching remote play.
It gave the same error
(Unable to read data from the transport connection: A blocking operation was interrupted by a call to WSACancelBlockingCall. Server disconnected.)
..but this time the 3DS screens flashed blue.
And still nothing on the NTRViewer.

How's your FPS for NTRViewer? Are you near or next to your router? Have you tried starting up a game to see if anything shows up on NTRViewer?
