The NRA, an organization that wants to keep guns legal in the US, has made a very controversial decision; the NRA has made a shooter for iOS devices despite that they are against violent shooters and even want to ban them. Before people jump the gun: yes it is a shooter, but it contains absolutely no violence. In fact the game actually is just a gallery shooter in which you shoot targets, it also comes with safety tips.

That wouldn't be the full story though: the NRA did get criticism with this game. First off: the game is ages 4+. This game might not be about how to use a gun, but it does allow you to use a gun on non-live targets. The second criticism is about the developer MEDL Mobile. This company is among other things responsible for the iOS game "boxhead" which is a very bloody zombie shooter, the very type of game NRA disapproves of.

Uh... why would they disapprove of that? THEY'RE FRICKIN ZOMBIES!

So what.. when a Zombie apocalypse comes, they're supposed to shoot the zombies with Nerf Guns or squirt pistols or something?

Its reviews are all either bashing it about "teaching" our kids about guns, praising it for "securing" our second amendment rights, or critiquing it because it "crashes" often, it's "hard" to control, and it's "unrealistic."

Maybe those last three shouldn't be in quotes.

EDIT: Coincidentally, it is currently the second most popular free app.
