Twilightmenu++ just completely destroys the need for a flashcart (it uses a SD card) I will list the examples
-SD Cards are cheaper than flashcart
-You don’t lose the MicroSS out of the flashcart
-Your computer is more likely to have a SD slot than MicroSD slot
-it has emulators built in you just drop the roms
- it has loads of cool menu options
-finally you probably have a SD card just lying around

Your post was done 15 min ago. But info something like (even for slow people like me) from 2021(but the real things was present on the internet even earlier, I just found TwilightMenu++ in this time).
Or i missed something?

P.S. I used SD reader with microsd card - so I have troubles to unedrstand "Your computer is more likely to have a SD slot than MicroSD slot" - as differenth in size cost like 30 cents (i.e. SD to microSD adapter)

Twilight Menu is great, but it also has compatibility issues with some games (like the intro cutscenes for Dragon Quest IV, V and VI not working, or crashing when trying to connect gen 4 Pokémon to a Wii). The day those problems (and some others) are solved, it would really destroy the need for a flashcart for me.

so fast in fact, that the quoted issue has been a problem for 6 years now and no fix in sight

also most competent microsd card manufacturers bundle a regular sd adapter with every microsd card they sell lol

Is actually the opposite, Homebrew has issues running in TwilightMenu++ (and on any SD card homebrew loader such as the Homebrew Menu), since most of them are old and weren't designed with SD support in their code, which is quite expected considering that it took time to have the DSi fully hacked.

Not really. Some homebrew (like NEODS) will not fully work with it as it needs more RAM for large ROMs. And the RAMdisk space will never be enough. Homebrew of the sort would need to be open-sourced and ported to DSi.

As a Said above, is not TwilightMenu++ fault, is just a consequence of outdated homebrew. NeoDS is open source already, but we haven't figured yet how to properly compile it with the latest dkp builds.

Correct. I had not looked into the zip folder for a while and forgot it was indeed in there.
