Gaming Now my friend has a theory

My friend came over and played PSP (Phantasy Star Portable has the same initials as PlayStation Portable...HMMM) and noticed that you save your demo progress and we went on gamefaqs.com to find some saves for some games I had got today and he noticed that PSP had a save too and he wanted to know could you basically play the whole game from the demo using a full game save...........I know how stupid it sounds but he won't listen to me.
