Notifications say I have more notifications then I actually have

I have noticed recently that from time to time when I log in I get greeted to a couple of notifications

But when I open the notification tray, I have no where near as many notifications as the red box says. For example when I opened the notifications tray in this picture I only had 3. Is anyone else having this issue?

Never seen that, same thing if you click "Show all"?

I've had issues like before and I just had to clear my Caches and it fixed that problem for me.

Show all still only shows me 3 notifications

So bassicly, before I logged off I had no notification box and EarlAB was the last notification I had. When I was gone I received the circled notifications but the box says 20 for somereason

That's actually very possible, and would also explain why I'd never seen it. Combined with the amount of spam posts we've been getting the past few days I'd be inclined to think that's a viable explanation.
