Not used Wii in a while, safe to update from SMG2 backup?

    To cut a long story short, I havent played my Wii in a while, no real reason I suppose its just a lack of real quality games. However, now SMG2 is out I fancy giving it a whirl again.

    When I left the scene the first ISO loaders/custom software had started to be released, and i've been absent ever since.

    So, my question is - can I play a backup of SMG2 without any problems, and is it safe to apply the update the disc presumably contains? From memory im currently running version 3.3 of the official nintendo software if this helps.

    Just run the game through some recent loader.

    The easiest way. Download latest GeckoOS. It will install the requiered IOSes and you are ready to go!

    EDIT: Run SMG2 through GeckoOS that is
