Many of you guys have been asking for an automated Update Package Downporter. I have been working on it for the past 3 days and have tested it on a few PKGs multiple times. And, I a glad that it worked every single time. I know there are multiple downporters by multiple devs at this time, but, check this one out too cause it has some new features.

Pre-requisites

1. DotNet Framework
2. Python with Hexdump.
3. Visual C++ Redistributable.
4. Downported Base PKG (Original PKG may lead to corrupt PKGs).
5. Update PKG.

TUTORIAL: Downporting Update Packages with Noob404 1Click PS4 Update Downporter

1. Start the program.
2. Copy Downported Base PKG (Make with 1Click PS4 Downporter v3.1) to Original Folder.
3. Copy Update PKG to Update Folder.
4. Click Downport!

am i doing something wrong i down-ported the base file and it install correctly and than i did the update and work and install correctly but the version didnt change or did the game size didnt change

something is wrong then. you don't need to downport both, just the update.

i reinstall it and it work it this time. It change the version number and it was larger in size. The only difference i did this time was i didnt start the gamr after i install the base file. I didnt open this time until i had install both base and update pkg

not sure why you'd need to do that. you don't have to. obviously, the instructions are wrong unless the tool requires it for some reason.

i had use another program to do it at first and it wouldn't work but i didn't down-port the base file but after down-ported the base file as well using this i didn't get an error anymore. So all we have to do is down-port the update pkg and it should work

I haven't used this. I've tried the original base pkg version and had no problems. that was for vampyr. I didn't install the update for it.

How do you make small 5.05 fixes

just patch the needed files into a fake pkg. you're patching those, then leaving all the extra files in.

How do it like a small step to step

the instructions are in kiiwii's thread I believe. you just need the encrypted files and the param.sfo, nothing more.

Does one of these backporter programs make these small 5.05 fixes from the base files. All yoi do is take the base file and make it go quicker by making a smaller fix for the game

possibly, there's no need for backporters as it is even if you had to make large packages.

it's showing up as official too. works without a problem. increase the version by one to do a fake patch update or else it will override the original patch.:

How are you doing it. Im a little lost. Anyway ylu could point me in the right direction or any tips

You make the small patch from a downported patch that you already downported

you might be able to do that. I don't know though. you might try it.

just remember to increase version number. here's the original patch:

as you can see, it's version 1.08. the fake patch is 1.09.

So pretty much unpack the pkg with a tool than than run those scripts to downgrade the impprtsnt files than pack back into a pkg am i close to how to doing it. Im not sure if its the right tutorial or not could you link the tutorial
