Okay, I softmodded a friends wii with HBC and the necessary CIOSes a while ago and had it workign well, however despite my insistence that she not do so, she updated it to 4.3u and now it wont load UBS Loader. I'm sure the information on how to add them again to 4.3u is out there but I'm struggling to find it. Help a brother out?

Do you still have the homebrew channel? If not, do you still have forwarders?

You are using this cIOS for installing other things, I mean which cIOS are you using to play the backups? cIOS249? cIOS222? Or another one? Have you tried configurable usb loader?

Then you can simply reinstall all cIOSes with IOS250.

i just spent but 4 hours un ziping files and formating hd loading games on to it with wii backup manager and still no games runing or even seen . when prompted to plug in HD i do so but then it comes up sorry no games detected . then i have to select either instal game or select partition . i go to page with all the chnls such as weather / mii / speak ect ect .... i click on the usb button and it just shows me exact same page with all the chnls from wii home page blocks ???? this is doing my nut in .. HEEELLLPPPPPP PLEASE

Simply press 1 two times to come to the options menu and download missing covers, that's it!

This is much more confusing than it used to be.. I'm trying to get installers for the cios but they all say I require this Trucha bug, which seems to think I need to install the Homebrew channel, which I already have.. Can someone link me to the app and the cios files? Sorry for being a bit noobish/lazy, but this changes so radically from hack to hack..

You need to select IOS250 on the first screen in all installers then you can install them.

I see it was suggested I select 250 for the installers... is that something I should try? I already bricked a wii once and I'm not eager to do it to my friends, so I'm hesitant to try anything off the beaten path here.

OK I can see the problem.
Start dop-mii wiibrew edition:

Simply press A and it will ask you if you want to use AHBPROT, say YES. Then select IOS, MIOS, BC (I'm not sure if it's the correct order

), then you will see a list. Select IOS249, press minus to uninstall it and say YES. Select IOS222 and uninstall it and do the same with IOS223. Then follow the ios249 and the hermes-ios222-223 guide again. After this everything should work fine again.

I get an error that says I ' need cIOS 222 and/or 223 to WORK !!! ' though it disapears very quickly. I'm 99% sure I didn't do anything wrong from those guides.. Any ideas? Need another report?

You reinstalled a stubbed IOS249. Uninstall it, then go install cIOS249.

You need to uninstall them with dopmii and install them with the guides!
