ROM Hack NOOB: i have no clue what to do !? :)

its been a while since i even thought about hacking my kids 3DS ... last time i checked about 2 years ago .... i was stumped at the soldering part ( as i dont have a solder gun ) ... is the a easy way these days at all ?

No needs to hard mod, check the list for what firmware you are on, you can use some of the free methods, or you can use the all versions via a DS flash cart with NTRbootHax.

Quick EDIT: man there are alot of Adapters which would you recommend? .... its only for 3DS games i actually bout a china cart with 500 dsi games on it for $20 off ebay & my kid never liked the older games much at all ....

Other Methods ? is there a way without R4 card ? .. im pretty sure the firmware on the 3ds is about 2 years old....
he basically never played it after demanding he wanted one for his B'Day ... same with his ps vita ... & the WIIU i hacked ...... luckily i really loved the WIIU & play it often ,,

Well, base on your current firmware, there is a table of what methods you can use to hack it, you can use certain methods for certain firmware unless you already got a compatible DS card lying around, no need to waste the extra money.
